ETHYL MALTOL USP/NF

Ethyl maltol is a flavorant that provides a sweet, caramelized, and sometimes jammy or cotton candy taste. It's commonly used in food and beverages to enhance sweetness and is often found in vanilla, candy, and fruit-flavored products. It's also used in perfumery to create sweet, gourmand scents. In fragrances it is known for it’s strong, sweet, cotton candy-like aroma, often used to enhance sweetness and gourmand notes in perfumes.
