ETHYL MALTOL
Ethyl maltol is a flavorant that provides a sweet, caramelized, and sometimes jammy or cotton candy taste. It's commonly used in food and beverages to enhance sweetness and is often found in vanilla, candy, and fruit-flavored products. It's also used in perfumery to create sweet, gourmand scents. In fragrances it is known for it’s strong, sweet, cotton candy-like aroma, often used to enhance sweetness and gourmand notes in perfumes. It's a powerful fixative, adding depth and longevity to fragrances, especially those with vanilla, caramel, or fruity (strawberry, raspberry) accords. Other applications include masking and improving palatability of certain remedies that have an unpleasant taste yet promote positive health benefits.
